Loving father to two and passionate academic, photography always was an activity I liked very much but was mainly reduced to tourism and family photos on occasions. I discovered street photography in three books – one in German, one in French, and one in English. Equipped with either one of two digital cameras (Fuji X100F or Panasonic Lumix GX80/85) and/or one of two film cameras (Rollei 35 S or Yashica Electro 35 GS), I try to get out in the streets as often as I can – what is obviously not as often as I wish!
Anmut is actually a German word that is best translated by charm, agreeableness or grace what I very much liked. However, the word is a created name I’ve put together and I will probably share its origin a bit later down the road. So far, I very much liked the sense of the German word.
On this blog, my aim is to publish photos I like by providing the short story about the circumstances of taking the photograph and why I like it so much. In addition to that, I will share some of my perceptions of equipment and more technical aspects, I am confronted with from time to time and where I think, you might be confronted with them as well.
This is basically all I wanted to let you know so far. I hope you like the photos as much as I love taking them in the streets.
